Everest summit
Due to Covid-19 lock-down restrictions, fund raising events for the church were cancelled so Tim Stiles decided on a novel way to raise funds for Sydling’s church. He compared the hills around the village to the “hills” of Everest. With some clever maths and inspired daily blogs he achieved the equivalent of the Everest summit and his many daily climbs raised over £2200 for Sydling St Nicholas church. With each climb he placed a stone on a cairn (shown below).
